We recommend to place the engraving on the part that is most visible. Check where your ham holder will be placed, if the back of it is facing a wall or kitchen cabinets the engraving should be on the front. Shops, restaurants and professional ham slicers often place the ham holder with the rear visible to the public, in this case we recommend engraving on the back of the base.
